In doing this, the team has to observe several classes which were randomly selected by the evaluators to find out the preparedness and competence of the teachers in classroom instruction and management; visit to the physical plants, facilities and laboratories of the campuses; verify the library resources and services; and other ancillary services such as canteen, medical and others; review the systems and procedures in managing the university through interview of the key officials, faculty, IT Technical staff and students. Perusal of the various documents such as reports, strategic and development plans, research outputs, course outlines, test questions, grade sheets, classroom evaluation, events pictorials  and many more exhibits that serve as evidence or proof of the concrete and tangible activities undertaken in the different areas or components of the university. The two-day evaluation was indeed rigid and intensive. The results of the evaluation will only be known after thorough deliberation and analysis of the findings by each of the member of the team in the next three months. The American International University-Bangladesh(AIUB) its management, faculty, nonteaching staff, students and the Quality Assurance Team (AQAC)  are optimistic that the results of the evaluation will again favor the inherent intention and vision of the university so that it can continue to deliver quality and excellent services to its stakeholders.  The process does not end after this evaluation but rather it will continue  to sustain the excellent features of the university and  strengthen the areas that need further improvement in response to the emerging challenges brought about by new developments in the university and in the higher education system.   The activities of the PAASCU Team were capped with a courtesy visit to the University Grants Commission (UGC). It was an opportunity for both sides to discuss the on-going accreditation process taking place in AIUB. Likewise, the prospects of establishing an accreditation council in Bangladesh was discussed and its impact on promoting and ensuring quality in higher education in the country.
