Notice of 22nd Convocation (Schedule & Deadlines)

22nd Convocation - schedule of Ceremony Attendance Form, Photograph Verification, Academic Awardees verification, Photo Memory submission and Gown

Graduating students of 22nd Convocation are requested to follow the schedules and dates as stated below:

 

  1. Convocation Ceremony Attendance Confirmation Form: Every graduating student who wants to be present in the 22nd convocation ceremony MUST FILL UP this form. Otherwise, the invitation card for the student (and his/her guests) will not be issued and eventually the student will not be able to take part in the Convocation Ceremony. 'Convocation Ceremony Attendance Confirmation Form' will be available online (‘Convocation Attendance Form’ under Online Applications after you login in VUES portal, portal.aiub.edu, with your ID and password’) from Wednesday, 12 February 2025 up to Friday, 14 February 2025 (Extended- no more extension after this date). After submitting the online form, an acknowledgement slip (pdf file) will be generated. PRESERVE A PRINTED COPY OF THE SLIP. This printed slip will be required at the time of card release. The release date of the card will be announced later. The last date of submitting the form is Wednesday, 12 February 2025 up to Friday, 14 February 2025 (Extended- no more extension after this date). If you forgot your VUES ID and password or experienced any other login problem, please contact VUES (www.aiub.edu/contact-us).

Car Parking: Only limited numbers of cars can be parked in the designated parking area of the campus during convocation ceremony. Those who are willing to bring their cars must register their car information in this same form. Parking will be allotted on a first come first serve basis. A final list of registered cars will be published later, and parking tokens will be distributed accordingly on a later date before the convocation ceremony.

**Important Note: This is not convocation application form. This is a convocation CEREMONY ATTENDANCE form. This form is only applicable for the cleared students of 22nd Convocation. This will only ensure your and your guest’s ceremony attendance invitation card. If you fail to fill in this form on time, your and your guest’s invitation cards will not be printed.

  1. Release of Tentative Academic Awardee List and Deadline of verification: The list tentative academic awardees of 22nd Convocation will be published on the AIUB homepage on Thursday, 23 January 2025. Anticipating academic awardees of 22nd convocation must check the list and notify any discrepancy to the Office of Records by Tuesday, 28 January 2025.
  2. Convocation Photographs (last call): The photographer will be available at the campus on Saturday, 25 January 2025 and Sunday, 26 January 2025 from 3 PM – 7 PM at the Campus for taking photographs for the graduating students of 22nd convocation who missed the photograph schedule earlier. There will be no more photograph taking schedule after this date.
  3. Verification of Convocation Photographs: 22nd convocation photographs which were already taken on earlier dates will be posted on the AIUB homepage noticeboard on 21 January 2025. Graduating students must check their photographs and notify any mistake to the Photographer (Mr. Faheem, Phone: 01833090807, 01673274177) within Tuesday, 28 January 2025. After this date, it will not be possible to accommodate any request for correction. An 8R size printed photograph will be provided at a later date. If any graduating student failed to have his/her photograph taken earlier, he/she can contact the Photographer (Mr. Faheem, Phone: 01833090807, 01673274177) if the photographer can accommodate the request. There will be no photograph processing after Tuesday, 28 January 2025. Please note, no claims will be entertained afterwards if mistakes are not notified by the students on due time.
  4. Convocation Gown: The GOWN DISTRIBUTION will be done as per the following schedule:

The payment of the gown is Tk. 1,200.00 (Additional Tk. 200 for master’s programs). Payment should be made to the tailor directly not to the office. If you miss the on-campus date, you may contact the tailor directly. If you want to take part in the convocation, you must wear the proper gown.

 

Post Title

  1. Memory Photos for convocation book [optional]: There will be a section of photo memories in the 22nd Convocation book. Graduating students are encouraged to submit photographs of their AIUB student life that will be printed in this convocation souvenir book to cherish as a memory. All submissions must be completed by 26 January 2025. A selection committee will review and finalize the photos for printing. Please note that, upon submission of the photos, you waive all the rights to AIUB to use these photos in print and digital media.
  1. Photo Limit: Each student may upload up to two (2) photos.
  2. Photo Details: Provide a caption, the date the photo was taken, and the location.
  3. File Format: Photos must be in JPG format, with a maximum resolution of 1200px and a file size not exceeding 4 MB.
  4. Submission Platform and deadline: Photos must be uploaded via the AIUB Portal within 26 January 2025.
