National Mobile Apps Trainer & Apps Development Program Inauguration

Ministry of Information and Communication Technology Division and EATL, Ethics Advanced Technology Ltd. inaugurates their most buzz created endeavor, “National Mobile Apps Trainer and Creative Apps Development” at American International University–Bangladesh, AIUB in 29th January, 2015 from 5 pm to 8 pm at AIUB auditorium. This program aims to establish mobile app developer and trainer as one would pass his learned knowledge with another, and its goal is to build 500 apps; 300 dedicated apps for government’s perspective and 200 innovative apps. The noble purposes of this training program are to build Bangla apps that will help to raise awareness, become more user friendly; gaming apps for all ages, especially, for kids and teenagers; mother-baby healthcare apps, informative apps for agricultural field and etc. The chief guest of this program was Prof. Dr. Tafazzal Hossain, Vice President Academic Affairs and Dean, FS&IT, AIUB; along with M A Mubin Khan, Managing Director, EATL and Dr. Nizam Uddin Ahmed, CEO, EATL were the special guests. His Excellency, Shyama Prasad Bepari, Secretary (Current Charge), ICT Division was present on this grand opening. Additionally, Prof. Dr. A B M Siddique Hossain, Dean, Faculty of Engineering, AIUB, Dr. Dip Nandi, Head of Undergraduate Program, FSIT, AIUB, Dr. Tabin Hasan, Head of Graduate Program, FSIT, AIUB, Prof. M. A. Quaiyum, Register, AIUB, Mr. Md. Lutfar Rahman, Director, PR, Legal & Int’l Affairs, AIUB also paid their valued presence to the ceremony.

To commence the opening ceremony, Prof. Dr. Tafazzal Hossain greeted all the honorable guests, attended students; then, shared his precious words and acknowledged the benefits of this initiative telling the benefit of this curriculum. Secondly, M A Mubin Khan gave a distinct speech about the means of this overall program, and he added they desire to seek talents from different universities across the country, create efficient apps trainer and developer. For the betterment of social and national economy, active participation of ICT members is incomparable. In order to make Bangladesh digitalize, he strongly emphasized the necessity of mobile apps and promised to take our apps developing skills to international standards. Then, Dr. Nizam Uddin Ahmed did the honor to have a few words; he highly encouraged AIUB students to actively take parts in this 3 months long training, and he has a profound belief at AIUB CS students’ potential. In addition, he believes smart mobile platform will empower our people by delivering proper care and building apps in Bangla, thus, it will be highly user friendly to us at today’s conditions and scenario that he vividly explained. This project coordinator Md. Hasib Kamal, EATL, introduce the course importance in briefly. Prof. M. A. Quaiyum, followed by, had a short speech to encourage students of AIUB, and he trust this process will excel ones limit of knowledge at building a particular Android app.

To convey the life experience and activities of Ministry of ICT, Shyama Prasad Bepari came up to the stage and described the need of young talents in this field for the welfare of better service delivery by the government via mobile apps to the citizens. However, he is focused to drive ICT system to the root level of the country to possess a balanced nation’s backbone, and he discussed about the scopes of development at ministry level with the audience. Prof. Dr. A B M Siddique Hossain, then, partook to boost students’ and participants’ motivation in app developing field and talked about computers, internet and wireless communication system. Finally, Prof. Dr. Tafazzal Hossain announced the opening of “National Mobile Apps Trainer and Creative Apps Development” and hoped it to be reached to the highest peak of success. Later on, Prof. M. A. Quaiyum handed over gifts to the distinguished guests. Guests were highly grateful witnessing such a wonderful response, seeing number of enthusiastic participants, and hoping to get innovative and creative apps from AIUB’s app developers.
