MARKETING DEPARTMENT ORGANIZES WORKSHOP ON “ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE FOR ENTRY-LEVEL MARKETING PROFESSIONALS.”

The Department of Marketing, THM, & IB, Faculty of Business Administration (FBA) of American International University Bangladesh, organized a workshop on " Essential Knowledge for Entry-Level Marketing Professionals" on 13th August 2023 at Room # 3202, Annex 3 for all Marketing, and THM major Interns of BBA Program of Summer 2022-2023 Semester.

The workshop started with a short introductory speech by Professor Dr. Partha P. Chowdhury, MCIM, Chartered Marketer (UK) Head, Department of Marketing, THM, & IB, FBA. The workshop covered different topics, which are Fundamentals of Marketing, Basics of Sales Management, CV Writing & Interview Preparation, and Corporate Culture & Corporate Communication. The resource persons of different sessions were Mr. Stanley Sumon Rodrick, Sr. Assistant Professor; Mr. Hamidul Islam Hamid, Sr. Assistant Professor; Dr. Shibli Ahmed Khan, Associate Professor; and Mr. Soumendra Sanker Das, Associate Professor, respectively. Marketing major Interns of BBA program were able to use the opportunity to attend the workshop to recall the topics that they learned in the previous semesters and to develop fundamental knowledge on some essential topics, which will help them in their further study and professional career. The workshop was indeed a fruitful knowledge sharing forum where students were very much participative and interactive.

The objective of this workshop was in line with key sustainable development goal (SDG) of the United Nations “Quality Education.” The focus of the Department of Marketing, THM, & IB on organizing this type of career counselling and development session reflects AIUB's commitment to excellence in education and its dedication to nurturing future professionals in the marketing domain.

Prof. Dr. Partha P. Chowdhury, Head, Department of Marketing, THM, & IB, organized the event and Mr. AKM Kamrul Haque, Sr. Assistant Professor, played the role of Coordinator on behalf of the department. The session was ended by giving a vote of thanks to the participants, organizers, and resource persons by Dr. Rezbin Nahar, Associate Professor, & Director, BBA Program. FBA.
