Industrial Training for EEE Students at TICI Arranged by the Department of EEE
An industrial training for the Electrical & Electronic Engineering (EEE) students at Training Institute for Chemical Industries (TICI), Polash, Narshindhi arranged by the Department of EEE has been successfully completed. For the third time 61 students participated in the four weeks training program based on the course “Industrial Technology on Electrical Engineering and Instrumentation” which includes Electrical Instrumentation, Process Control, PLC, DCS, Protection, Safety etc.
The training was arranged by honorable Prof. Dr. Bashudeb Chandra Ghosh. Prof. A.B.M. Siddique Hossain, Dean, Faculty of Engineering, Mr. Rinku Basak, Assistant Professor and Coordinator, Dept. of EEE and Mr. Akram Hossain Chowdhury, Lecturer, Dept. of EEE have given continuous support for the arrangement of this industrial training.
Four faculty members of EEE Department Prof. Dr. Bashudeb Chandra Ghosh, Mr. Amzad Ali Sarkar, Dr. Md. Kamrul Hassan and Mr. Shamendu Roy Rohit took part in the inauguration ceremony of this training on 24 December, 2011. The faculty members visited the important labs of TICI. The students were encouraged by the visit of the faculty members. Faculty members also gathered knowledge about process control, automation etc.
Duration of this industrial training was 4 weeks from 24 December, 2011 to 19 January, 2012. At the end of the training the performances of the students were evaluated by TICI according to their grading system. This training creates a link between the university, industry and professional training institute.
