The Department of Tourism and Hospitality Management (THM) of Faculty of Business Administration at the American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB) achieved a milestone with the inauguration of its state-of-the-art Tourism and Hospitality Management Multipurpose Lab.
The event was held on Thursday, December 12, 2024. The THM multipurpose lab was in- augurated by Dr. Hasanul A. Hasan, Founder Member, Board of Trustees, AIUB. The event was also graced by the presence of Dr. Carmen Z. Lamagna, Member, AIUB Board of Trustees; Prof. Dr. Saiful Islam, Honorable Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Abdur Rahman, Pro Vice Chancellor, AIUB, and other top officials of AIUB and FBA Management.
The students of the Tourism and Hospitality Management were delighted to be present in the event. The objective of setting up and inaugurating this THM Lab was in line with key sustainable goal (SDG) of the United Nations “Quality Education.” The focus of the Department of Tourism and hospitality management on organizing this type of study tour reflects AIUB's commitment to excellence in education and its dedication to nurturing future professionals in the domain of tourism and hospitality management.
The program was coordinated and facilitated by Prof. Dr. Partha P. Chowdhury, Head, Department of Marketing, THM, & International Business with the full support of the Inauguration committee. The key members of the inauguration committee were Dr. Rezbin Nahar, Director, BBA Program; Ms. Bohi Shajahan, Head, Department of Finance; Mr. Soumendra S. Das, Associate Professor, Marketing; Ms. Samia Shabnaz, Sr. Assistant Professor, Management; Ms. Mr. AKM Kamrul Haque, Sr. Assistant Professor, Marketing; Mr. Mahmudul Hasan, Lecturer, Department of Marketing and THM.
