The American International University - Bangladesh (AIUB) has organized the freshmen orientation for the Fall 07-08 semester on September 1, 2007 at the AIUB Auditorium, Campus 1. A total number of 500 freshmen participated in the orientation program after qualifying through preliminary screening, written exam and viva. The students were briefed and educated about the norms, rules and culture of AIUB in the program. Dr. Anwarul Abedin, Honorable Chairman, AIUB was present in the occasion as the Chief Guest. Dr. Carmen Z. Lamagna, Vice Chancellor, AIUB presided over the orientation programs. Prof. Dr. Tafazzal Hossain, Pro-vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Anwar Hossain, Dean, Faculty of Business, Prof. Dr. Charles C. Villanueva, Dean, Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, Prof. Dr. Hasan I Choudhury, Registrar, AIUB also spoke on the occasion. Freshmen, guardians, Faculty members and University officials largely attended the orientation program.
