The Department of Finance, AIUB, arranged a quiz completion entitled “Finance Quiz competition spring 18-19” for the students of the course “Financial Management” in the month of April 2019. The competition was organized & coordinated by Ms. Bohi Shajahan, Senior Assistant Professor and Mr. Joynal Abedin Assistant Professor from the Department of Finance.

The competition was conducted in four stages. In the first round, top 10 students were selected from each section. These students then formed twenty teams to compete in the second round comprising of multiple choice questions from the area of finance. Top ten teams were selected to move on to the semi-final round that comprised of case solving and analysis. On the basis of their performance, top five teams reached the final round. The final round was a rapid fire session where students were asked diverse questions to judge their financial knowledge from a global perspective. Amongst the finalist, team Beta was declared champions that included Shifat Al Moontasir and Sowrav Dey as team members. The 1^st runner up  was team Sigma comprising Istiaque Ahmed Badhan and Habiba Rahman Himu. The 2^nd runner up team was team Delta that included Munny, Sumiyea Tamanna and Ahamed, Md.Shohib Ibna.

In the awarding ceremony, Mr Mohammad Faridul Alam Associate Professor and Head, Department of Accounting gave the vote of thanks which was followed by concluding remarks from Professor Dr. Nisar Ahmed , Professor & Director, MBA program. The top three teams were awarded with crests and certificate of appreciation for their performance.
