English Department organized Teaching Practicum symposium for final semester students

The Department of English organized an important symposium on ‘Teaching Practicum’ on 22 May 2014 at 11 am in the seminar room of Campus 7. It was attended by the final semester students majoring in ‘Language & Linguistics’ and ‘TEFL’ who had taken this internship course as part of their course requirement. Dr. Faheem Hasan Shahed, Head of the English Department, conducted the session where he explicated the detailed procedures of Teaching Practicum. The students would work under 4 supervisors in 4 different groups. It needs to be mentioned that the students of English Department, by maintaining high standards in their Teaching Practicum research and reports, hold the unique honor to achieve the Vice Chancellor’s Award for Best Internship Report from FASS in the last four successive convocations.
