An event entitled “Culinary Tourism in Bangladesh” was organized by the Department of Tourism and Hospitality Management in association with the Department of Marketing of Faculty of Business Administration of American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB) on Sunday, January 4, 2026.

The main attraction of the event was the stalls of different types of food items and sweets arranged on the lawn between Annex 4 and Annex 5 of the University. Foods were arranged in the stalls by the students of different departments of FBA, and CSE. The event was inaugurated by Prof. Dr. Anwar Hossain, Advisor and Dean-in-Charge, FBA.Prof. Dr. Partha Prasad Chowdhury, Head of the Department of Marketing, THM, and IB along with other Heads and Teachers and the Officials of AIUB were present at the inauguration ceremony.

The event was graced by the presence of Prof. Dr. Saiful Islam, the Hon. Vice Chancellor, AIUB, Prof. Dr. Rezbin Nahar, Director BBA Program, and Prof. Dr. Mohammad Faridul Alam, Director, MBA Program. They visited the stalls and appreciated the students a lot. 

The students were delighted to be present at the event. The objective of organizing this event was in line with key sustainable goal (SDG) of the United Nations “Quality Education.” The focus of the Department of Tourism and hospitality management on organizing this type of event reflects AIUB's commitment to excellence in education and its dedication to nurturing future professionals in the domain of tourism and hospitality management.

The program was coordinated and facilitated by Prof. Dr. Partha P. Chowdhury, Chartered Marketer (UK), Head, Department of Marketing, THM, & International Business. The Department of Tourism and Hospitality Management (THM), FBA, expresses sincere appreciation for all administrative and logistical support received from AIUB Management.
