The Faculty of Business Administration (FBA) of American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB) and Dhaka Chamber & Commerce Industry (DCCI) Business Institute (DBI) jointly offers two PGD programs (PGD in International Trade Management, and PGD in Customs, VAT, and Income Tax Management) and two certificate courses (Certificate in Professional Marketing and Certificate in Business, Marketing Management Technology).
On Saturday, 23 November 2024, DCCI Business Institute organized a “Certificate Awarding Ceremony” of the course participants of the above-mentioned programs at DCCI Auditorium, 65-66 Motijheel C/A Dhaka. In this event, certificates were awarded to the participants of the last few batches. Prof. Dr. Saiful Islam, Honorable Vice Chancelor, and Prof. Dr. Partha Prasad Chowdhury, Head of the Department of Marketing, THM, and International Business represented AIUB in the event. Prof. Dr. Saiful Islam delivered an informative and motivational speech to the participants. The President of DCCI Mr. Ashraf Ahmed congratulated the course participants and Mr. Mohammad Fakhrul Alam, President, Customs, Excise & VAT Tribunal; Mr. Md. Akhteruzzaman FCMA, Vice President, ICMAB; high officials of DCCI and some other dignitaries from academic and corporate world were also present in the event.
The event was followed by the signing ceremony of Memorandum of Understanding between AIUB and DCCI Business Institute in which both the parties agreed to maintain collaborative relationship for another five years.
The key objective of the Department of Marketing, THM, and International Business for initiating this type of MoU was in line with the goal of AIUB to develop and maintain industry-academia linkage which reflects AIUB's commitment to excellence in education and its dedication to nurturing future professionals in the marketing and business domain. On behalf of FBA, AIUB, Prof Dr. Partha Prasad Chowdhury, Chartered Marketer (UK) coordinated the events with the DCCI Business Institute.
