AIUB reinforced its internationalization agenda by serving as a cohost of the 5th EACC International Multidisciplinary Research Conference (EACCIMRC), held on December 1, 2025, at Emilio Aguinaldo College, Cavite. As part of its continued commitment to global academic collaboration, AIUB actively contributed to the conference’s scholarly platform, bringing forward thought leadership in emerging areas of education and technology.

Professor Dr. M. Firoz Mridha, Professor in the Department of Computer Science and a member of the Office of Research, delivered a plenary session that drew significant attention. His presentation, titled “Integration and Impact of AI in Education: Navigating the Transition from Traditional Teaching to Hybrid Intelligence,” provided a forward-looking analysis of how artificial intelligence is reshaping teaching and learning across higher education.

Dr. Mridha discussed the transformative potential of AI in areas such as personalized learning, predictive analytics, intelligent tutoring systems, and accelerated research support. He emphasized that the next generation of education will be powered by hybrid intelligence, where the strengths of human insight and AI-driven capabilities work together to create more dynamic and responsive learning environments.

In addressing the opportunities and challenges of AI adoption, he underscored the importance of ethical considerations, including data privacy, academic integrity, and fairness. He also highlighted that AI literacy is becoming an essential competency for future graduates, and universities must evolve to prepare students for the demands of an AI-enabled workforce.
