AIUB PRESENTED A RESEARCH PAPER IN THE 4TH GLOBAL CONFERENCE ON EDUCATION AND RESEARCH (GLOCER 2021)

The Conference was organized by the University of South Florida, USA and arranged virtually. The conference received 360 submissions from 36 countries. After a double-blind, peer-review process, the conference accepted 184 papers from 650+ authors. The Paper of AIUB  highlighted the timely initiatives taken by the management to respond to the challenges brought about by the COVID 19. The work also augments the effective use of performance matrixes designed by the Faculty of Business (FBA) to measure faculty performance in the context of a pre pandemic traditional  and pandemic online educational settings. Prof. Dr. Charles C. Villanueva, Vice President Academic and Dean, FBA, AIUB, is the lead researcher author of the paper and privileged to present the said paper during the Conference held on 8 June 2021 on behalf of the two  other authors Ms. Farheen Hassan, Director, BBA Program and Md. Khaled Amin, Asst. Prof. FBA, AIUB. The paper is a baseline study to gauge whether there was a statistically significant change in faculty members’ overall performance during the pre pandemic time and the pandemic online which was measured using three instruments such as: Teacher Performance Evaluation (TPE)  by the students, the Faculty Performance Evaluation (FPE) as self evaluation  and by the management using the same FPE instrument. The study revealed that there is a significant difference in the performance of the faculty as measured by the TPE comparinmg the results during the two settings. On the other hand, there is no difference in the self evaluation of the faculty and that of the management. As future direction, the study proposes to expand the number of respondents to cover other departments of FE, FASS and FST, and longer  time coverage.  It might be of interest to have an in depth analysis of the data and arrive at a more meaningful results some factors maybe included so the performance of the teachers can be made more understandable as inputs for faculty development program and management action.
