The American International University–Bangladesh (AIUB) is participating as an exhibitor at the QS Higher Ed Summit: Asia Pacific 2025, being held from 4 to 6 November 2025 at Korea University, Seoul.

Themed “Advancing Generational Potential: Skills and Partnerships in the Asia Pacific,” the summit brings together university leaders, policymakers, industry practitioners, and government officials to explore the evolving role of higher education in a region undergoing rapid digital, green, and economic transformation. Recognized as the Asia Pacific’s leading platform for collaboration and innovation in higher education, this year’s summit features forward-thinking conversations on the future of learning, networking and partnership opportunities, and best-practice workshops.

The conference has drawn over 1,500 higher education officials and industry leaders from nearly 160 institutions across the region, marking it as one of the largest gatherings ever organized by QS.

The AIUB delegation includes Dr. Carmen Z. Lamagna, Member of the Board of Trustees and Former Vice Chancellor; Prof. Dr. Manzur H. Khan, Proctor; and Ms. Carlin Noelle, Senior Assistant Professor, Faculty of Arts & Social Sciences, and Deputy Director, Office of Planning and Development (OPD).

In addition, Dr. Carmen Z. Lamagna will serve as a panelist in a session titled “Prioritising Quality Research for University Excellence” and participate in a closed-forum discussion on Advancing Diversity at the summit—underscoring AIUB’s role not only as a participant but as a contributing thought leader in higher education innovation and regional collaboration.

The inaugural ceremony, held on Monday, 4 November 2025, featured inspiring addresses by Mr. Ban Ki-moon, eighth Secretary-General of the United Nations, and Prof. Kim Dong-one, President of Korea University, both emphasizing the importance of preparing students to think critically and lead effectively on a global scale.
