AIUB New Faculty Orientation Program For Summer 2009-10 Semester

AIUB New Faculty Orientation Program for Summer 2009-10 Semester was held on Monday, 17th May 2010 in AIUB Auditorium. A total no. of 20 new faculty members attended the program. The new faculty members also had a training session on IT issues and HR Policies of the University on Tuesday, 18th May 2010 in the Cisco Lab of Campus-4. The initial session of the orientation program was conducted by Professor Anwar Hossain, Pro-Vice Chancellor of AIUB. In this session Dr.Anwar Hossain welcomed the new faculty members and explained in details the AIUB mission and vision statements, its goals and values. He also familiarized the new faculty members with the Founders of the university and top management along with the key officials. During the Day-1 program, New Faculty members had the opportunity to meet with the honorable Founder and Chairman of AIUB Trustee board, Dr. Anwarul Abedin. The Chairman warmly welcomed the new members to the AIUB family. The New Teachers also appreciated the presence of the honorable Chairman among them. Among the top officials of the University, Prof. Dr. Tafazzal Hossain, Vice President, Academic Affairs, Prof. Dr. Charles C. Villanueva, Dean Faculty of Business Administration, Prof. Dr. ABM Siddique Hossain, Dean of Engineering Faculty, Dr. AKM Matiur Rahman, BBA Program Director, Mr. Ehsanul Huda Chowdhury, MBA Program Director, Dr. Neaz Ahmed, from FASS, Prof. M. A. Quaiyum, Registrar, Mr. Tareque Moudud, Director of OPA, Mr. Maksudur Rahman Sarkar, Director of AQAC, Lt. Col. Golam Maula, Director of Admin, Mr. Manzur H. Khan, Director of OSA, Mr. A K Nazmul, Office of Sports, Ms. Tahziba Nasir Chowdhury of Publications and Mr. Tawhidul Islam, Senior Executive, Library were also present there to welcome the new members and made presentations regarding the Goals and activities of their respective departments. On day-2 the Director of IT, Mr. Danilo G. Morgia trained the new teachers on how to use the IT resources of the University, and Ms. Karen, Assistant Director of HR briefed on several HR issues. In their evaluation the new faculty members highly appreciated this move of the university and expressed their great satisfaction.
