As part of the preparation leading up to our annual AIUB Job Fair, a technical session titled " Tips and Tactics for your Successful Career" was conducted on December 11, 2024, by the University’s Office of Placement and Alumni (OPA). The session was led by Mr. Rajib Kundu, CPA (Aust), ACMA, CGMA, Head of Financial & Sustainability Reporting at Grameenphone Limited and an alumnus of AIUB.
The Speaker was introduced by the Director of OPA, Mr. R. Tareque Moudud FCMA. Dr. Mohammad Faridul Alam, Associate Professor, Director of MBA Program, Department of Accounting, & Mr. Quazi Nur Alam, Lecturer, Department of Finance, FBA welcomed the guest to the session.
Mr. Kundu shared career guidance related to the financial sector, offering students practical tips and strategies to excel in their professional pathways. Drawing from his own experiences, he emphasized the importance of continuous learning, adaptability, and strategic planning, encouraging students to confidently navigate through financial sector in general and the telecommunication industry in particular.
He focused on key areas, including building a professional profile to excel in the competitive job market and encouraging students to use LinkedIn to build professional networks and meaningful connections in the professional world. He also described effective interview techniques to leave a lasting impression on potential employers.
His success story, transitioning from an AIUB graduate to a leading role in a well-recognized telecommunication organization was inspiring to the students, motivating them to pursue their professional goals with determination.
OPA plans to have more such preparatory sessions in the days to come, to better equip our students in their career quest.
