American International University – Bangladesh (AIUB) organized a Job Fair on Saturday, December 01, 2012 at the AIUB Campus -1 & 5. The Vice Chancellor of AIUB Dr. Carmen Z. Lamagna inaugurated the Fair at 10:00 AM which continued up-to 4:00PM. The inauguration ceremony was also attended by Ms. Nadia Anwar Founder & Vice President (Student Affairs). Nearly 71 renowned National and Multinational Companies including Banks, IT Solutions, Mobile Operators, Networking Solution Providers, Pharmaceuticals, Leasing & Finance Companies, Call Centers, Airlines, Automobile Companies, Real-Estate Companies, JOB Portals, Agro-Based Companies. Accessories and Equipment Companies and some FMCGs were also participated. The Fair is organized every year to create a platform for the AIUB Alumni and future graduates to facilitate their smooth entry into the corporate world. It is also an attempt to provide the Corporate with a Data Bank of potential employees. This Flagship event was hosted by the Office of Placement and Alumni under the dynamic leadership and guidance of Founder & Vice President (HRD), Treasurer Mr. Hasanul A. Hasan, Founder & Vice President (Public Relations Int’l Affairs) Mr. Ishtiaque Abedin and Ms. Nadia Anwar Founder & Vice President (Student Affairs). The program was attended by, among others, Professor Dr. Tafazzal Hossain, VP (Academics), Dean (Business Administration) Prof. Dr Charles C. Villanueva, Registrar Prof. M. A. Quaiyum, Director (PR) Md. Lutfar Rahman, Director (Finance) Khandeker Sabbir Mohammad Kabir, Director (Placement and Alumni) Mr. R. Tareque Moudud FCMA, Director (Student Affairs) Manzur H. Khan, Dr. A. H. M Ehsanul Huda Chowdhury (Associate Dean, Business Administration), Teachers, other senior officials and students including Directors and representatives of the Companies were also present. The Vice Chancellor expressed her thanks and gratitude to the participating companies.
