AIUB is included as a key participating university in CETL Network of British Council and UGC, Bangladesh

The British Council has enlisted American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB) as a key participating university in the Centre of Excellence in Teaching and Learning (CETL) initiative since 2018.

British Council, with support from the University Grants Commission (UGC), Bangladesh initiated the formation of the Centre of Excellence in Teaching and Learning (CETL) with six public universities with a view to strengthen the teaching and learning capacity in the higher education sector of Bangladesh in 2015. Considering the impact private universities have on the higher education ecosystem, the network and initiative is keen to engage several leading private universities to support the CETL network in Bangladesh. Hence, AIUB has been included as one of the 12 Universities in Bangladesh and became a participating university for CETL network of British Council and UGC, BD initiative since 2018. The Faculty members and key personnel of CETL network of AIUB have received several trainings and attended seminars/workshops including the network and other activities organized by CETL British Council.

AIUB would like to extend the appreciation to British Council Bangladesh, for promoting the practices of CETL and supporting efforts in bringing about a positive reform in the higher education sector within Bangladesh along with AIUB through this network. AIUB looks forward to a closer relationship with British Council in working together to positively contribute to the overall quality enhancement of higher education in Bangladesh.
