On February 8, 2025, Space Innovation Camp successfully organized Kids Space Camp 2025 to inspire children and teenagers in space science.  This day-long Space Camp was held at Multipurpose Hall, Annex-7, American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB), where young participants from 85 schools across Bangladesh took part. Through unique activities such as space technology, robotics, rocket science, and astronaut training, the event provided an exceptional educational experience for children and teenagers.

With the guidance of experienced Mission Controllers, children and teenagers learned model rocket building and launching, space robot creation and programming, telescope making and space observation, as well as designing colonies for Mars and the Moon. The camp also featured VR-based astronaut training, offering immersive space experience. Additionally, a team of young participants not only designed a Mars colony but also published their own research paper, showcasing their innovative ideas and scientific curiosity. The event was graced by the presence of the Chief Guest, Dr. Hasanul A Hasan (Founder Member and Vice Chairman, Board of Trustees, AIUB). He mentioned that the activities undertaken by the young participants would further stimulate their creativity and curiosity. He also stated events like this would be instrumental in shaping Bangladesh’s future scientists, engineers, and space researchers. The event was also graced by the presence of Special Guest, Mr. James Gardiner (Economic Officer, U.S. Department of State). He stated Space Innovation Camp has created a platform where children and teenagers can start dreaming about space science from an early age. He also mentioned today’s children are the scientists, researchers, and astronauts of tomorrow. The President of Space Innovation Camp, Mr. Ariful Hasan Opu said their goal is to continue bringing new initiatives for children and teenagers in the future, enabling them to learn, explore, and turn their dreams into reality. In the closing remark Prof. Dr. Saiful Islam (Vice Chancellor, AIUB) mentioned through this kind of program, kids and adolescents can learn new things that will accelerate their academic activities. He highlighted how nurturing young talents from an early age can set the stage for propelling the nation forward in the future. The event was also graced by the presence of Dr. Carmen Z. Lamagna (Member, Board of Trustees, AIUB),Prof. Dr. Md. Abdur Rahman (Pro-Vice Chancellor, AIUB) and many other officials of AIUB.

The event was supported by esteemed partners, with Creative Junior as the Knowledge Partner, e-Soft and Robust Research & Development as the Tech Partners, and Enigma TV as the Media Partner. Additionally, the event was collaborated by Scientifly, Kids Coding Club, and Team Atlas.
