The Department of Marketing, Faculty of Business Administration (FBA), AIUB organized a student-based competitive event entitled ‘Poster Competition on International Business – Spring 2024-2025’ for the students of ‘‘International Business’ course of the BBA Program on Tuesday, May 27, 2027. Sixteen (16) teams from 4 different sections of the course qualified for the Final Round. The teams prepared their respective posters from a country’s perspective, highlighting the major international trade (export and import items), national competitive advantage, culture, tourist destinations, culinary and entertainment, and highlighted the major investment opportunities.
The event was inaugurated by Prof. Dr. Anwar Hossain, Advisor and Dean-In-Charge, Faculty of Business Administration, and Dr. Rezbin Nahar, Director, BBA Program. The panel of judges evaluated the respective teams’ performance based on their presentation, communication skills, content and implementation of available data, and ability to confront questions regarding their designed posters.
The event was planned and organized under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Partha Prasad Chowdhury, Head of the Department of Marketing and THM. Dr. Sahin Akter Sarker, Associate Professor, Marketingcoordinated the event with the support of Ms. Sharmin Sultana, Assistant Professor, Department of Tourism and Hospitality Management, and Ms. Farzan Mitu, Lecturer, Department of Marketing. Mr. Soumendra Sankar Das, Associate Professor, Department of Marketing played the role of Jury for this event. At the end, the judges and the guests declared the winners of the event and presented certificates and gifts to the 3 winning teams’ members.
This hands-on event not only served as an experiential learning platform that enhanced critical thinking, teamwork, communication, and visual storytelling—key competencies in international business education—but also empowered students through meaningful academic exposure. It reaffirmed AIUB’s commitment to nurturing future business leaders equipped with global perspectives, innovation, and inclusiveness.
