Abstract
Reading habits among young people are significant for learning new things and developing knowledge, but they are becoming less common. This research study aims to look at why the number is decreasing day by day and how digital technologies play a vital role. Surveys were supervised to a diverse sample of young people to gather quantitative data based on reading habits and media consumption .By way of surveys, we prevailed that spending more time on social media and online games is abating the numbers of reading. For these issues academic pressure and insufficient time are also reasons. Declining of reading books can lead to decreasing analytical skills, reducing the ability to understand and increasing de-culture. For reducing this issue, it is mandatory to encourage reading in institutions and libraries, using digital media for reading and result in appealing reading experiences. By encouraging the habit of reading in young people may accomplish the knowledge by reading books. This study indicates multifarious output re-energization is needed for reading habits, which includes upgrading reading in institutions and libraries, promoting the internet for reading can create interest in reading.By figuring out, we may stimulate and get used to reading and assure that youths acquire the transmuting capabilities of reading books.
