Abstract
Managing home and garden systems efficiently is becoming harder due to increased use of electronic devices and the need for better environmental control. Many current systems are not flexible enough and do not support both automation and monitoring together. This project aims to build a smart system that helps users control home and garden devices both manually and through the internet. The goal is to make a system that is easy to use, helps save energy and water, and improves safety through automation. The system uses an Arduino Nano ESP32 microcontroller along with sensors like DHT11 for temperature, YL-69 for soil moisture, and MQ-6 for gas detection. A 4-channel relay is used to control devices like lights, fan, and a water pump, while Alexa voice commands and Arduino IoT Cloud are used for remote and voice control. The real-time IoT features of the system were tested successfully using the Arduino IoT Cloud dashboard. The results show that the system can successfully detect gas leaks, control fan speed based on temperature, and turn on the water pump when soil is dry. This project can help others especially in homes, farms or smart city projects by reducing the need for manual work and making systems smarter, safer, more efficient and also cost effective.
