Abstract

Abstract Today, many children grow up in single-parent families because of divorce, separation, or other reasons. This change in family structure has raised questions about how it affects children's growth and behavior. This study aims to find out how being raised by a single parent affects a child's emotional health, school performance, and social life. The study looks at children aged 6 to 16 who live with either a single mother or a single father. It also looks at how money, parent involvement, and help from others affect the child's development. The research used both numbers (quantitative) and personal stories (qualitative). Surveys were given to 100 single parents to collect data on how their children are doing in school, how they feel, and how they act socially. Interviews were also done with 15 parents and 10 teachers to hear their thoughts and experiences. The results show that children from single-parent families may face more problems in school and may feel more stress. But if the parent is involved, earns a steady income, and has support from others, the child can still grow up in a healthy way. Being in a single-parent family can be hard, but with love, support, and the right help, children can do well. The study suggests giving more support to single-parent families through schools and community programs.
