TEDxAIUB, a TEDx University event was organized on 24th January 2013 at AIUB Auditorium by the students of American International University Bangladesh led by Mr. Monzur Morshed. It was a semi scientific event targeting students, teachers and AIUB academics to promote the concept of Open Science. TEDx was created in the spirit of TED's mission, "ideas worth spreading." The TEDx programs are designed to give communities, organizations and individuals the opportunity to stimulate dialogue through TED-like experiences at the local level. The TEDxAIUB event was inaugurated by Mr. Mashiour Rahman, Head of the Department of Computer Science and coordinated by Dr. Dip Nandi from the Department of Computer Science. In the event, 5 speakers gave presentations on several areas which covered digital innovation, technology talks, business ideas and open science.
