The Architecture Department of AIUB is delighted to share the success stories of two of its alumni: Forhat Nazib Chowdhury and Nahid Ferdous Dristy.
Forhat Nazib Chowdhury has been awarded the prestigious Hubert H. Humphrey Fellowship for the 2024-2025 academic year at the University of California, Davis. This esteemed fellowship, part of the Fulbright program under the U.S. Department of State, will allow her to delve deeper into her impactful areas of focus: Natural Resources, Environmental Policy, and Climate Change. She graduated from AIUB in 2014. Forhat’s dedication to humanitarian work, honed through her previous work experience with “Save the Children, Bangladesh”, has profoundly shaped her commitment to environmental advocacy. She gives credit to this transformative journey that has helped her to evolve as a compassionate professional, ready to tackle the pressing challenges of our time.
Nahid Ferdous Dristy, another alumna of AIUB’s Architecture program, has been selected for the prestigious Fulbright Foreign Student Program as she embarks on a new journey to pursue a “Master of Urban and Regional Planning” at Michigan State University. Dristy graduated from AIUB in 2015. Her passion for architecture and sustainable urban development has already left a meaningful mark in her role as a Research Architect at the Housing and Building Research Institute (HBRI).

We celebrate Forhat and Nahid’s extraordinary accomplishments and look forward to the positive changes they will bring in to their respective fields at a global scale hopefully in the coming days. Their achievements will surely be sources of inspiration for all our students.
