The Faculty of Engineering (FE), AIUB organized an insightful seminar titled “Prepare Yourself for the European Job Market with Skills: Perspective of an Embedded Engineer” on Wednesday, November 6, 2024, at 03:30 PM in the Multipurpose Hall, D-Building, which was supported by AIUB Community of Engineering Students (ACES) . The objective of the seminar was to enhance the knowledge and skills necessary to thrive in the European job market, with a focus on the field of embedded engineering. The speaker of the workshop was Mr. Syed Sami Al Haq, Embedded Engineer, AutoStore, Norway who is also an alumnus of AIUB.
During the session, Mr. Sami shared invaluable insights based on his personal experiences and professional journey in Europe. He provided a comprehensive overview of the European lifestyle and workforce expectations, highlighting the importance of preparing a well-structured resume tailored to European employers' preferences. Additionally, he offered practical advice on crafting effective cover letters that align with European recruitment standards.
A highlight of the event was the interactive Q&A session, where the speaker answered questions from the audience, providing them with personalized guidance. The program concluded with a closing speech from Prof. Dr. Md. Abdul Mannan, Associate Dean [FE], Faculty of Engineering, who later presented a token of appreciation to the honorable speaker for his valuable contributions. The event was wrapped up with a group photo, capturing the memorable moment of the day.
