Engineering Students’ Association of Bangladesh (ESAB) AIUB Unit Face, has organized a competition, "iARC Bangladesh Round-Selection Phase" at 266, Building-2, AIUB. Motive of this competition was to encourage students from various universities to come up with their designed maze solvers. ESAB AIUB Unit Face was assigned to host one of the country round selection phase at the university premises and the entire crowd saw different maze solvers from American International University- Bangladesh (AIUB), Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology and East West University.
The round started with the national anthem, followed by a brief promo video focussing on ESAB's mission, vision and activities. Ms. Tajbia Karim (Lecturer, Faculty of Engineering, AIUB) was present at the selection round to inspire the participants. She welcomed the participants and spoke about the entire round. She also mentioned how enthusiastic it was seeing such mesmerising maze solvers. Mr. Tawsif Ibne Alam (Lecturer, Faculty of Engineering, AIUB) joined the selection round and gave away a short speech encouraging the students. He advised the students to be creative and take part in such competitions to widen their experiences and be skilful. Shortly afterwards, an inspiring motivational speech was provided by Dr. Sajal Kumar Das (Assistant Professor, Faculty of Engineering, AIUB), where he talked about types of maze solver and their usefulness in today’s modern world.
The selection phase then started where the participating teams competed for a spot for the final round that took place in United International University. 26 teams from various institutions were able to make it to the finale. ESAB AIUB Unit Face is also grateful to Ms. Tasnuva Tasneem (Lecturer, Department of EEE, AIUB) for her presence in the event. Executives and all organizing and working members of ESAB AIUB Unit Face attended the competition.
