The vibrant sports field of the American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB) came alive with excitement as the grand finale and prize-giving ceremony of the "AIUB Inter College T-10 Cricket Championship 2024" took place on Thursday, May 23, 2024. The championship, a marquee event organized by the AIUB Office of Sports in collaboration with the Office of Student Affairs, kicked off on May 19, 2024, bringing together 32 enthusiastic college teams from across Dhaka City. To add to the excitement, Bruvana served as the official beverage partner, ensuring that players and spectators stayed refreshed, while Savoy, as the official ice cream partner, provided delightful treats throughout the event.
In an exhilarating turn of events, Government Bangla College clinched the championship title for the first time in the tournament’s history, marking a momentous occasion in the third season of this highly anticipated competition. The victory was celebrated with great enthusiasm, highlighting the team's dedication and skill.
The prize distribution was graced by distinguished guests, including AIUB's Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Md. Saiful Islam, Pro-Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Abdur Rahman, and Proctor Dr. Manzur H Khan. The program was hosted by Mr. Md. Joynal Abedin, Coordinator of the AIUB Office of Sports. In his address, the Vice Chancellor expressed heartfelt gratitude to all participants for their spirited involvement and commended their remarkable commitment to balancing rigorous academic schedules with their passion for sports.
