A group of four students and one faculty member from the Fergana branch of the Tashkent University of Information Technologies (TUIT), named after Muhammad al-Khwarizmi, Uzbekistan, visited the American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB) as part of a student exchange program agreement between the two universities.
The TUIT delegates arrived in Dhaka, Bangladesh on Saturday, June 22, and departed on Monday, July 1, 2024. During their visit, they attended classes, laboratories, seminars, workshops, sports, and numerous cultural exchange activities at AIUB. Additionally, they toured several attractions in the city, organized by AIUB under the exchange program, with support from the Bangladesh Tourist Police during their city tour.
The delegation was led by Mr. Muminov Kamolkhon, a lecturer in the Information Security department at TUIT. The students included Mr. Abdullaev Abdurakhmonjon, Mr. Salimov Nodirjon, Mr. Tojiboev Abdumansur, and Mr. Azamjonov Farrukhbek. The delegates also participated in a Day-long Seminar and Workshop on “The Advancement of Physics Research for Engineering Students,” organized by the Department of Physics at AIUB on June 27, 2024.
Mr. Ishtiaque Abedin, Founder and Chairman of the Board of Trustees at AIUB, welcomed the delegates over lunch. They also had the opportunity to meet with Prof. Dr. Saiful Islam, Vice Chancellor; Dr. Hasanul A Hasan, Founder Member of the Board of Trustees; Dr. Carmen Z Lamagna, Member of the Board of Trustees; Prof. Dr. Md. Abdur Rahman, Pro-Vice Chancellor; and various Deans, Directors, and Heads of Faculties of AIUB on several occasions during their stay. The Office of Student Affairs (OSA) at AIUB organized and supervised all activities related to the exchange program.
