Department of Marketing of American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB) has organized a ‘Corporate Talk’ on ‘Sales Management’ on October, 12, 2011. Mr. Asadul Haque Sufyani, General Manager (Marketing), Seven Rings Cement was the ‘key note’ speaker. Mr. Sufyani has shared his long experiences on ‘Marketing’ as well as ‘Selling Techniques’ with the students of BBA program (major in Marketing). According to Mr. Sufyani, ‘Marketing’ is strategy or vision oriented where as ‘Sales’ is action/execution oriented. He also added that ‘Marketing’ support the ‘Sales team’ by creating positive environment in the market. If both ‘Marketing’ and ‘Sales’ departments work together an organization will flourish. More over, he mentioned that there is a very good career prospects for the students (major in Marketing) in Bangladesh. Dr. Ehsanul Huda Chowdhury, Director, BBA Program, AIUB delivered ‘vote of thanks’ to the key note speaker. Mr. Zobair Shibli, Asst. Professor and Head, Department of Marketing attended the session. Dr. Md. Ziaul Hoq, Asst. Professor co-ordinated the program.
