On May 29, 2009, The CISCO Networking Academy held its’ annual  SAARC Conference at Bangalore, India at the TAJ Residency Hotel.  The conference was attended by representatives from over 250 Cisco Academies across the SAARC Region. At  this years conference, CISCO recognized AIUB’s Cisco Academy (under the management of the Continuing Education Center) for the following award :

AIUB was awarded for being No. 1 among the top 15 academies in the SAARC Region with Maximum Student Enrollment between April 2008 - March 2009. The Cisco academy at AIUB has graduated over 1100 students in the period mentioned above, which is the highest of any academy across the SAARC region.  This is a further testimony to AIUB’s commitment towards excellence and leadership in all its’ endeavors. On behalf of AIUB, the SAARC conference was attended by Md. Manirul Islam, Assistant Professor-CS Dept., who is also the Coordinator-(Programs & Quality Assurance) of the Continuing Education Center (CEC) at AIUB, and also Cisco’s Quality Assurance Support Specialist.  The award certificate was handed over by Ms. Sandy Walsh, General Manager, Asia Pacific Region, Cisco Networking Academy. Dr. Carmen Z. Lamagna, Vice Chancellor of AIUB received the award certificate from the CEC, and lauded their efforts in bringing laurels to the university.
