Celebrating the Pride of Independence
The Independence Day calls for a celebration in green and red, not just in colors, but in words and acts. On the 31st of March’ 2013, the AIUB Performing Arts Club [APAC] organized an event in the AIUB Auditorium, to pay their salutations to the day that marks our freedom as a nation. The program started off with the National Anthem, followed by musical performance on several popular patriotic classics retuned with the passion and rhythm of the new generation. Dance performances followed, upholding the spirit of 1971 even today. The event was graced by the Manzur H. Khan, the Director of OSA, whose speech inspired the members to strive for more. The spontaneous participation of faculty members and administration, and students made the event an even greater success. The program came to an end with the words of determination and encouragement in the performance of the song, ‘Amra Korbo Joy’, bringing the spirit of overcoming the hardships of life and embracing the pride of our independence, back to life.
