The Annual General Meeting (AGM) 2023 of the Asia Pacific Quality Network (APQN) was held at the American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB) on Thursday, November 2, 2023.
Prof. Galina Motova, Dr. Jagannath Patil, Prof. Dr. Jianxin Zhang, Dr. Timur Kanapyanov, Mr. Le Fang, and Ms. Liu Pingping from the APQN Board and Secretariat were present in the AGM along with Dr. Carmen Z Lamagna, Member, Board of Trustees, AIUB and AIUB IQAC Members.
APQN has been working to enhance the quality of higher education in the Asia-Pacific region for the last 20 years. There are 268 institutional and academic members of APQN from 47 countries. AIUB is the proud host of APQN Academic Conference 2023 to be held for the first time in Bangladesh from 3 – 4 November 2023. This conference expects participants from 15 countries who will be discussing innovation and sustainable development in higher education. The researchers will also focus on quality of transformative teaching-learning, blended education, digital quality assurance, and university-industry linkages to ensure quality education.
Later, APQN Board Members had a meeting with the members of Bangladesh Accreditation Council (BAC) where Prof. Dr. Mesbahuddin Ahmed (Chairman, BAC), Prof Dr. Md. Golam Shahi Alam (Member, BAC), Prof Dr. S M Kabir (Member, BAC), Prof. Dr. Gulshan Ara (Member, BAC) along with other officials from BAC were present.
