On 25th October 2017, a seminar on "Basic Automobile Engineering and Electric Vehicle" was organized by AIUB Community of Engineering Students (ACES) at Annex 3, American International University –Bangladesh (AIUB). The purpose of the seminar was to motivate the young generation about Automobile and Electric Engines.
Prof. Dr. A.B.M. Siddique Hossain (Dean, Faculty of Engineering, AIUB) inaugurated the seminar by welcoming the participants and delivering few inspiring words about the Automobile Industry. Afterwards, the speaker of the seminar Mr. Mehrab Masayeed Habib (Alumni, Department of EEE, AIUB & Founder and Trainer, Bangla Automobile School) was invited on stage to share his experiences. He discussed about the contrivances of modern cars and its beneficial contribution to the environment. His part of discussion also included various types of electric engines with a brief description about the manual and automatic transmissions. He presented a clear illustration of all the essential features of electric vehicles with the help of various presentation slides. He also expressed his concern about the increasing greenhouse effect and harmful pollutants in the atmosphere, to which he proposed some possible ways of minimizing these phenomena. The session was then summed up with an interacting question and answer segment with the participants of the seminar.
Prof. Dr. Md. Abdul Mannan (Head of Undergraduate Program , Department of EEE and CoE) conveyed the closing speech and motivated the participants to attend more seminars in the coming days to take a grasp of the technological ideas which are at the peak and explore their potentiality; and thanked all the participants for their presence. Mr. Md. Arif Abdulla Samy (Assistant Professor, Faculty of Engineering, AIUB) and Mr. Safayet Ahmed (Lecturer, Faculty of Engineering, AIUB & Motivator of ACES) also graced the seminar with their presence. The interactive seminar was lastly rounded up by providing a token of appreciation to the honorable guest.
