Abstract

This study explores Bangladesh's capital market's digital transition and provides a thorough statistical analysis of its development over the previous ten years. Using a large dataset, this study looks at the uptake and effects of digital technologies, such as automated trading systems, electronic fund transfers, and online trading platforms. The results show noteworthy patterns like higher trade volumes, quicker transaction times, and better market liquidity, illustrating how digitization has raised accessibility and overall market efficiency for a wider group of investors. This study also emphasizes that two important advantages of this digital transformation are the democratization of market participation and the decrease in transaction costs. It also highlights ongoing issues, such as cybersecurity risks and the requirement for legal frameworks to keep up with these quick technological changes. The study offers useful insights for policymakers, investors, and market participants who are attempting to navigate and profit from the changing digital landscape of Bangladesh's capital market by offering a detailed knowledge of these patterns and their ramifications.
